Scalloped potatoes

 

Peel enough potatoes to fill a two quart pot 3/4 full

Slice them into the pot and cut up a medium onion

In small pieces and add to potatoes add milk to 1 inch above the mixture. add 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Cook over low heat and watch that it does not burn.

When the potatoes are tender if the mixture is not thick and creamy mix 2 table spoons of corn starch in a cup and add some water to it and  mix until it is all mixed add to the potatoes and cook at very low heat until it is thick and creamy

 

Now scalloped potatoes done in the oven

Peel and cut up enough potatoes to fill your dish

Put a layer of potatoes in bottom of dish about an inch and a half  deep sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of flour then add only one layer bacon just a few slices and then layer of cut up onions sprinkle with 2 tablespoons flour and add another  layer of potatoes sprinkle with 2tablespoons of flour then a layer of onions  sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of flour continuing until the dish is about 1and1/2 inches from top  cook until a fork goes through the potatoes on the top and the mixture is thick and creamy.
